Breaking of Bread
Every Sunday at 11 am, Sutton Christadelphians hold a Breaking of Bread service to remember the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. While all are welcome to attend this service, only members eat bread and drink wine.
We do this because Jesus asks his followers to remember him by eating bread and drinking wine
“And he took bread… broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me’. In the same way after supper he took the cup, saying This cup is the new covenant in my blood ” (Luke 22 verses 19-20)
